This morning's wholemeal apple pie is really delicious: soft, moist and fragrant, despite the use of wholemeal flour only, which I don't normally prefer, I liked it a lot! With this recipe I tried to make one of my favorite desserts, the soft apple pie as healthy as possible, I used unrefined flour and sugar, oil instead of butter and I chose very sugary apples so as to sweeten the cake without having to add too much sugar. I must admit, I loved this wholemeal apple pie and I elected it for a healthy and delicious breakfast this winter and at my house they all agree;) I greet you and I'm going to start this new week, today I know that I have I need a double coffee to get some momentum and get started, kisses to those who pass by here!

How to make wholemeal apple pie

Wash the apples, peel them and cut them into thin slices.

Put them in a bowl, add the lemon juice (and, if necessary, grated rind) of lemon and mix gently.

Separately, whip the eggs with the sugar.

Add seed oil and honey.

Finally add flour and yeast. I left the cake neutral to have a slightly rustic sweet, but if you want you can also add vanilla, cinnamon or other flavors.

Pour the mixture into a mold lined with parchment paper, then add the apples (drained from the juice), setting them lightly in the dough.

Bake for about 35 minutes in a preheated convection oven at 180 ° C.

Let it cool before serving. If you want, you can sprinkle the apple pie with a little icing sugar or cinnamon.
